What God Has Done So Far
From Sri Lanka to Myanmar, God is opening doors
A Growing Movement
What started with a single translation of God’s Story is now reaching thousands. Local pastors and church leaders in Sri Lanka and Myanmar are sharing the gospel in homes, villages, hospitals, and remote districts where the name of Jesus is rarely known.
This isn’t the result of a large team or a massive budget. It’s the fruit of God’s Word, our faithful brothers and sisters, and a tool that’s simple enough to multiply by the thousands.
Here’s what we’ve done with God’s grace:
-
📘 50,000+ books printed
-
🌍 2 countries and 5 districts reached
-
⛪ 300+ churches involved
-
🔠 4 translations - English, Sinhala, Tamil, and Burmese

Transforming Lives One Book at a Time
Each copy of God’s Story carries the gospel into a new home and a new heart. What follows is a new brother or sister in the Kingdom of Christ. Below is just one of many testimonies. This testimony is from a husband and wife who encountered Jesus through the pages of this little book.
Testimony of an Army Officer and His Wife
1. Our Life as Buddhists
We were born and raised as Buddhists. All our lives we tried to live according to Buddhist teachings, believing in good works and hoping for a better reincarnation. Yet, inside, we did not have real peace. When sickness and suffering came, we always thought it was because of bad things we had done in the past.
My husband, who serves as an officer in the Sri Lanka Army, was diagnosed with kidney failure. This was a painful time for us. We believed it was a punishment carried over from past lives. Our hearts were heavy, and our home had no peace.
2. How We Received the Book “God’s Story”
One day, a believer from a local church (Br Sudath) gave us a book called God’s Story in Kandy Hospital. We had never read the Bible before, and we did not know much about the Christian God. Out of curiosity, we began to read the book together.
3. What Happened After We Read the Book
We did not stop with one reading. We read it again and again—five times. Each time, the words touched our hearts in a new way. It felt as if God Himself was speaking to us through the book.
Finally, my husband contacted Pastor Bandula and said, “I want to know more about this God.” Soon after, we attended a Sunday service at church. That day, God clearly spoke to us we must believe Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior then both of us gave our lives to Jesus Christ.
4. What We Learned
Through the God’s Story book, we understood something we had never known before:
-
Sickness and suffering entered the world because Adam and Eve sinned against God.
-
We are not trapped in endless cycles of reincarnation.
-
Jesus Christ came and paid the penalty for sin and death on the cross.
-
By believing in Him, we can receive forgiveness, new life, and eternal hope.
5. Our New Life in Christ
Now, even though we still face challenges, we have peace in our hearts. We know Jesus is alive, and He is walking with us. We are no longer afraid of death because we have eternal life in Him.
We are thankful for the believer Br Sudath who gave us the book God’s Story. It was not just a book—it was God’s voice to us. This book has the power to open blind eyes and bring true life.

Pastor-Tested. Church-Endorsed. Spirit-Led.
“I have been a pastor for over 20 years, and I have seen many resources come and go. But this book—God’s Story—is something different. It speaks simply, clearly, and powerfully. When I gave it to a family in a remote village, they asked me to come back and explain more. They are now attending church regularly. That has never happened before with a printed resource.”
“Our church has always wanted to reach the nearby tea estate workers, but language and literacy barriers made it hard. With the Tamil version of this book, we were able to go from home to home and share copies. People sat and listened as we read parts aloud. One woman said she had never heard anything like it. She now joins our women’s fellowship each week.”
“We have many youth in our church, but they struggled to talk about Jesus with their friends. After reading God’s Story, they said it helped them understand the message of salvation better. We printed a few extra copies, and now our youth are using them in their school Bible clubs. They told me, “Pastor, this book makes it easy to share Jesus!””
“I was hesitant at first, but I felt prompted to leave a few copies of the book in the local bus stand where people often wait. The next week, a man came to our church holding the book and said, “Is this really true? I need to know more.” That man is now regularly attending our evening service.”

Reaching the Unreached
God’s Story is opening doors where traditional outreach has struggled. In remote villages, on tea estates tucked deep in the hills, and among language groups with little to no gospel access, local believers are sharing the message of Jesus and the goodness of God.
These aren’t places you’ll find on mission trip itineraries. Many are considered spiritually closed or too difficult to reach. But through faithful pastors, evangelists, and everyday church members, the gospel is going forth. God is using a simple 16-page book and willing hands to bring light where there was once no witness.
Understanding the Mission Field
Sri Lanka
Buddhists make up roughly 70% of the population, with Hindus (12.6%) and Muslims (9.7%) as significant minorities. Christians form about 7.4% of the population.
In such a context, reaching people with the gospel is both urgent and delicate.
Myanmar
Myanmar is predominantly Buddhist (about 88%), while Christians make up 6.2% of the population. There is also a small population of Muslims (4%) and Hindus (0.5%).
Many ethnic groups in frontier regions have even less access to the gospel.
The Demand Keeps Growing
What began as a seed has taken root. Pastors and church leaders across our mission countries are now asking for more.
Many of them have seen firsthand how God’s Story softens hearts and opens spiritual conversations even in places where Christianity is misunderstood or opposed. So far, over 25,000 additional copies have been requested, not by us, but by the very people doing the work on the ground.
The harvest is plentiful. We simply need the means to keep supplying the tools.
“The demand for God’s Story continues to grow exponentially. Churches and pastors from various districts have reached out, requesting additional copies to support their evangelism efforts. This surge in interest underscores the book's effectiveness and the ongoing need for Gospel resources across Sri Lanka.”
