Who we are, what we believe, and who we serve
Our Mission
At Unreached World for Jesus, our heart is to help reach the 43% of the world’s population who have little to no access to the gospel. Every person should hear the message of salvation, as God doesn’t want anyone to perish but for everyone to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Through the God’s Story book, we equip local believers to carry that message into unreached communities in their own language and in their own culture. Our mission is not to replace traditional efforts but to support what God is already doing through the local church.

What We Believe
We are a gospel-driven, Spirit-led, and non-denominational ministry. Everything we do is rooted in the truth of God’s Word.

God’s gospel is for every nation - “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world… and then the end will come.” – Matthew 24:14

While our strategy is simple, our confidence lies not in the method but in the grace of God and the power of God's Word to transform hearts.
How It All Began...
The journey of God’s Story didn’t begin with a grand launch. It began with a simple question.
In July 2024, led by the call of God, Pastor Bandula from Sri Lanka reached out to Pastor James in New Zealand and asked if there was any gospel material he could use in Sri Lanka. For years, James had been quietly developing a resource: something simple, biblical, and easy for unbelievers to understand. After 25 years of refining, testing, and praying, it was nearly ready.
He sent it.
Pastor Bandula read it and responded quickly. “This is different,” he said. “This is going to work.” After decades in ministry, he recognized the impact it could have in unreached places. From that moment, the mission began to take shape.
Like the Macedonian call in Acts 16:9–10, this moment became a shared mission. Instead of sending missionaries, the vision was to equip the Church already on the ground with a clear and simple gospel tool: God’s Story.
The booklet was translated into Sinhala and Tamil, and soon, God’s Story was being shared in homes, churches, and remote villages across Sri Lanka.

The God’s Story Timeline
July 2024 — The Email That Sparked a Mission
An email arrived from a pastor in Sri Lanka, which prompted James to respond by sending God’s Story, a gospel format teaching material he had been refining for 25 years.
December 2024 — First 5,000 Books Printed
The first edition of God’s Story was printed in Sinhala and Tamil. Distribution began through local churches and pastors’ fellowships.
Early 2025 — 37,000 More Books Reach Homes and Villages
God’s Story spread throughout Kandy, Matale, Nuwara Eliya, Anuradhapura, and Jaffna, many areas receiving the gospel for the first time.
Mid–2025 — Expansion to Myanmar and Beyond
As demand for the book grew, doors opened to expand into Myanmar, with more Bay of Bengal nations in development.
Obeying the Call to Reach the Unreached
Reaching the unreached isn’t optional. It’s the direct call of Christ. In Matthew 28:19–20, Jesus commands us to “go and make disciples of all nations.” Yet today, 43% of the global population still has little to no access to the gospel.
That statistic isn’t just a number. It represents families, communities, and entire regions that have never heard who Jesus is and what He has done for us.
We believe God is already at work in those places. But our role is to come alongside the local brothers and sisters already there and equip them with gospel resources like God’s Story.

Who We Serve

This is just the beginning. These countries represent the first stage of growth as we prayerfully seek where God may open doors next.
There are over 7,000 languages spoken in the world, yet around 90% still have no full Bible translation. Even fewer have clear, gospel-centered materials designed for first-time hearers. That’s what makes God’s Story so valuable. At just 16 pages, it can be quickly and faithfully translated by local believers, then shared in homes, on streets, or in churches. It's a simple, adaptable tool that helps meet the urgent need for truth in the heart language of unreached people.
We believe every nation, tribe, and people deserves the chance to hear the gospel in their own language.

As we’ve seen in Sri Lanka and Myanmar, this model works. Local pastors are sharing the gospel village by village, home by home, often in places where no outside missionary has ever been.
Think about this: A missionary can cost $80,000/year to send. That same amount can distribute up to 160,000 copies of God’s Story. That’s 160,000 individuals and even entire families who encounter the gospel of Jesus Christ!
